New tires for my Gen 4

Hey all
I'm getting due for a new set of tires.
My spare (BFG 265/65 17) has done 5Km. All others about 60,000 and are damn close to being finished.
Been thinking about taking them off sooner and keeping them in the garage for any trips and putting on HT tires. 99% of my driving is honestly on tar. The few Km's I do on gravel and even on sand (should I be going to Bots again this year) the HT's should handle..... Or not
I know AT's look cool, but is it worth it? Your thoughts and comments would be appreciated.

I ran on HT for many years, have been everywhere including a Namib crossing. They don't just jump off and die at the first sight of hard work

.
Then about two years ago I "discovered" Goodyear Wrangler AT/SA. They are cheaper than most HT's and I really like their overall performance.
On our latest Damaraland trip we were two Pajeros fitted with the Wrangler AT/SA's. We climbed over some serious lava boulder-fields and drove though the veld and collected wood and did everything only the Defender boys believe they can do. Not a single flat tire.

Useful feedback. Thanks Roelf. I am also getting to the point where I have to change 6 tyres. My Yokohama HTs have suffered multiple sidewall damage from thorns over the last year and are getting near end of life.

I run standard size: 265/65 x 17.
My Pajero is stock standard except for the towbar

I bought me Pajero with Michelin LTX AT2 tire.
They are excellent for on-road... extremely quiet! They are classified as an AT tire, but are more road biased. They have soft/flexible side walls which give a very comfortable and smooth drive.
When deflated, the do bulge quite a lot (exposing the side walls)... which might be an issue for rocky trails.
I used them on my trip to Kgalagadi / Mabua over December, with no issues, running at 1.2 bar all the time in the park.
I'm pretty sure I'll get them again... and use my 2nd set of rims for offroad (MT or heavy AT tires).

Got a quote for 5 off GY AT/SA's at R8800 minus R1600 for my spare BFG. Thats R1440 per tire, not bad.
Just not sure about them, not really a tough looking tire, M2CW.

The Michelin are great, but definitely more road bias. My FIL got two punctures (one sidewall) in moremi this year.
My next set will probably be cooper AT3s - got prices on those? They are more tar than off road, but seem tougher than the Michelins.
That said - I'm at 60k kms on my dueller 694 HTs, with probably another 20k to go. And they seen Mozambique, Lesotho, die Hel, Baviaans kloof, central kalahari, Moremi (x2), Caprivi - with lots of 1.4bar driving in sand. Probably not a bad call to go for again...
