Time for a change. I had a look at this one and I like.
What must I look out for?

Hi jbeez
Check for service history...especially the cam belt (I hope I have the right model in mind here, the DiD has a chain, not to sure about the petrol but believe it's cambelt). The cambelt service must be done I think every 90 000km and it's expensive.
Other than that, check the working of all the drive modes, 2H, 4H, 4HLC and 4 LLC. I hope some of the petrol heads will be around soon to give you more advise.

what a lovely vehicle and it is my first pajero so had lots of doubts
the real difference between the GLX and GLS is R100 000 new
I am very happy with the specs of the GLX but had cruise control fitted. I also like the extra diff lock on the GLX
If I was to buy second hand the GLS would be a choice as usually one does not get that much extra for extra spec second hand
On the other hand a GLX may be cheaper and a steal
I dont like the radio on my vehicle as it has the worst reception I have ever had in a radio and taking it back to the dealers has not helped
I think somewhere something must be wrong as if I move out of Durban or major towns the reception just fades
If I have to choose between petrol and diesel this would be very hard for me to decide
I love the diesel and the fuel consumption but am undecided about high mileage diesels
Would think petrol has a better chance at high mileage
then the lower fuel consumption is very nice
have fun and stick with the brand!
