Hi Karl,
That is a nice looking set of rocksliders!
How much did they set you back?
Cheers

Uys says they will cost R6500.
I sold my stock sliders for more than that

Unfortunately not. Was at Uys's a few weeks back to collect my bash plate and spoke to him about it.
He had a prototype for the GEN4 there(only one side that had to be modified or something), it is by far the most beautiful rock sliders I've ever seen (ok, I haven't seen that many...but still), I believe it can be classified as art.
It really looks awesome and it flows well with the body, really well made.

They do look awesome.
The design is based on the Gen4 standard side steps, but obviously all steel.
I was surprised that they were not as heavy as expected. Uys reckons that it's the strongest steps he's made..., but the weakness sits in the brackets that attach to the body.
So he still recommends not to jack the car up on these (hence why he's not putting high lift jack points on them).

So there are a few:
1. For me, I have to stand on a tyre, or open a door to work on the roof rack. Now I can stand on the step.
2. I took my original ones off because they damage quite easily. These ones will take a fair amount of weight / knocks before the showing.
3. Aesthetics - they look pretty nice

O Masked One.
I think they look great and will definitely give great protection! Definitely worth it in my book.
I also think Uys is underestimating the Pajero mounting points. Unless he took a very basic approach on the mountings the sliders will definitely be able to carry the vehicle weight so can be used for jacking. Ask Kai, he has done some tests on his and it seemed pretty strong.
Mine I have also tested and they did pretty well even with the vehicle fully loaded.

Given how many banana shaped steps you see, it should help with that problem.
For folks that overland a lot, these are not necessarily a must. However I do the occasional course now and then, and it was a schlep to always remove the steps (hence why I never put the stock steps back on). Now I'm fairly confident to go on a course with the steps - plus I can get stuff on and off the roof rack more easily when over landing.
