On closing the driver's door, the rear window on my 2.8. 1998 shattered in thousands of pieces. The Pajero was standing locked up in the garage for a week. I didn't notice anything while getting into the vehicle (the window would have fallen in while opening the driver's door), but the moment I closed the driver's door, it 'blew' outwards - sounding like marbles being poured out on a table. Needles to say, it took me about two hours to get my mouth shut again! There is just no way I could explain why the window shattered. The kids across the street don't have ketties and I didn't hear an exploding sound or a loud crack. Nothing struck the window. The window just disintegrated. Has anyone had a similar experience?
