Hi Guys

What a great vehicle. Good on the road, off road, hills and dips. Sad to say I cannot say the same for the fuel consumption.

See photo. Filled it up. Took the Highway. 110 km/h ave with A/C on most of the time. Done 580km and this is where the fuel needle is now. :(

Any comments of advise?

It does feel a bit sluggish but starts quick and it does not smoke to much (i think the small amount of smoke is normal)

Nico,

How big is the tank and how much fuel is still remaining in the tank? Fill it up and do a proper fuel consumption calc. As a matter of fact you need to run a few tanks of fuel before you can really start telling what the true consumption is. You also need to test your speedo and odo accuracy and then compensate for that as well, when you calc the fuel consumption.

I would say that 12L/100km is a fair benchmark number to work from for the 2.8 Pajero.

PS: The top number in your pic also tells a story. Surely you can't honestly expect new car performance and consumption.

The tank meter is notoriously incorrect at the older Pajeros. You must first spend some money and fill up a few times, before you can say, thats it.

Also important is load, tire pressure, driving offroad, etc.

Thats heavy on diesel. :o
Say you could get another 100 km from the rest of the diesel left in the tank, then it means you got 7,7 km/l, which is still a bit heavy. When last did you refurbished the injectors?
