Ek sal graag wil weet of iemand vir my die brandstof-sisteem kan verduidelik van die SW Gen 2 Pajero (my geval 3000 V6). In sommige weergawes is n addisionele (long range) tenk aangebring. Dit sit voor die agteras en twee pype loop vanaf die onderkant van die tenk voor na die enjin-kompartement. Hoe het dit gewerk/of werk dit? Hoe word dit deel van die hele sisteem (hoe maak dit vol en voer dit saam met die gewone tenk die brandstof-sisteem)? Daar moet een of ander elektroniese pomp wees wat die tenk volmaak en inskakel in die sisteem. OF WAT GAAN AAN? Ek kan so 'n tenk bekom (scrapyard) en wil weet of dit kan insit in my Pajero, maar hoe werk dit?

The Frontrunner tank (35 liter) on my Gen 2.5 is gravity-fed. I drive 3000 V6 SWB. The Mitsubishi tanks fills up first and overflows into 2nd tank (no pump involved) and the fuel then gets used normally by the engine and the fuel indicator shows FULL until the extra tank is empty (300kms) and then reads normal fuel tank as usual.

The thing is still that I do not know how the system works, as there are only two pipes both at the bottom of the extra tank with no link directly between this tank and the standard one. Nor are there a pipe coming from the filler down pipe at any place going to the auxiliary tank. The two pipes from the auxiliary tank run to the engine bay. Unfortunately in both cases (of the wrecks) the pipes are gut off on the point of entering the engine bay and the engines and mechanics are striped - so I cannot ascertain how the system worked. It must be a different one from your Frontrunner item. Any other help, please?
