Inclino meter console

Hi all,

Must say one thing I miss (maybe just the cool look of it) is the inclino meter, compass etc I had on the dash of my old Gen 2.5
The Gen 3 is much nicer but I would like to have that console back.
I'm sure they cost an arm & leg to buy from the Dealers and sure they are hen's teeth at the Breakers.

Anyone out there would a nice alternative??

Thanks
Pierre

Hi freshman, have a search for my post on where i fitted a later (2004-2006) Gen 3 model on board computer display which has altimeter, compass and a better range and fuel consumption info. I picked one up at a scrapyard for R800. Plug and play with 6 screws to remove. Total of 5 min of work.

I dont know how to show the link on Tapatalk.

Thanks Nick, sounds like a plan.
Will see if I can find one from the Breakers.
R800 seems like a pretty good deal.

Cheers

And if you can find one out of a 2003 Gen 3, then the display is even in colour and not in monochrome blue... ;) :D

OK - can get either one from Martin Ferreira (the spares guys).
R800 for monochrome and R2500 for colour.
Will go for mono.

Nick - you recon it is plug&play and easy to replace hey?

5 minutes max. 2 screws above display to remove display surround hazards switch and vents. 4 more screws to remove the display support brackets in the dash. Swap 2 plugs behind display and reverse process for the new one...

Just make sure he is giving you the blue monochrome display, not the original black monochrome lcd display. R1700 sounds like a big difference between blue and colour....

Barnets spares in stikland Cape town had about 4 lying there on the shelf when was there in Nov /Dec.

Thanks for the instructions - sounds easy enough - gave you a thumbs-up :)

Yip - in his email reply he did state monochrome and colour.
I agree - bit price diffrence.

Pity I'm so far away else i would have gone there to collect one.
Sure Martin will post it to me.

Cheers

There are 2 different monochrome displays... I have the "upgrade". Perhaps get him to send you a picture to make sure that it matches the one in my pic above not the one I have just attached below, which is the original black lcd monochrome.
