Dear Pajero friends

I would appreciate some guidance and assistance please. I am located at a mission in central Mozambique and have for the last 9 or so months been driving a swb 3,5l petrol Pajero which I purchased locally in Chimoio. Since I purchased it there was a squeeling sound on one of the belts, which we were not able to trace. A month ago this came to a point and we discovered the main pully on the crankshaft was coming loose. A friend stripped it and h found that a small key had to be replaced. After we managed to get this item, and re-assembled the pulleys, the car would not start. The entire front was stripped down again and we discovered the sensor unit had to be replaced, together with the three point plate that spins between it. We were advised that we should also replace the 24-tooth gear. Forgive my mechanical illiteracy when it comes to things mechanical, so I hope you understand what I am talking about.
Could you please advise me where we would be able to purchase these three items at obviously the best possible price in the Gauteng region?

Try Gert at Parthunt for second hand spares. Otherwise I would think that the agents will probably be your only port of call.

I recently stripped down a scrapped Pajero (ex Mozambique) Will have a look if those parts are available, and will let you know soonest.

Hi, ok, I have the 3 sided plate as well as the 24 tooth gear. My guys are still looking to see if we have the sensor.
