POSTPONED - Pajero Club Inaugural GTG - Atlantis Dunes
Posted: Mon Jan 18, 2010 2:34 pm
Our original GTG was postponed due to it's proximity to the December holiday.
Lets celebrate the Pajero Club's first Western Cape Get-Together at Atlantis Dunes. Atlantis Dunes is one of the Cape's biggest dune fields and has become popular with the 4x4 enthusiast. This is intended as a meet and greet and not for hard core playing, so bring along the wife and family. I will also try arrange some sandboarding as well. And, surprise... (watch this space)
Other vehicles bearing the 3 red diamonds are also welcome.
We will then grab a bite to eat at the bush pub on the R27 nearby.
WHERE: Gate 1 Atlantis Dunes
WHEN: 9:00, Sunday 21st February 2010
WHAT TO BRING:
* Permit. Permits are available from the municipality in Atlantis, or from the municipality in Cape Town. Cost is R100. (Contact Details and Coords here)
* Your own recovery gear. It is considered poor form to expect others to provide the gear should you get stuck.
* Your sense of humour.
* Food and drink for the morning. Note, alcohol while in the dunes is unwelcome. By all means crack open a frostie when airing up, but not before.
* Protection from the sun.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED:
* 29MHz or VHF radio. I have a VHF handheld I can loan out.
* Camera and Video Camera.
If you intend joining us, please note your intention to do so here, and whether you have a radio or not, as well as your intention to have lunch afterwards (as well as numbers)
