Not to be outdone by the Cape Town boys we will also be doing a big bash 'launch' up here in Gauteng sometime in February, maybe early March.
Firstly I would like to get a hands up to judge numbers of those that will be interested to attend and dates suggested and secondly I would like to get some ideas of what you guys want to have included in the Get Together, trail ride, braai, kiddies facilities, training, or just a coffee, bun, handshake and a test drive in the new Pajero Sport?.
It would probably be held on a Saturday morning and we are in advance negotiations with some dealers so it will also include them on the day.
Anyone interested to assist with arrangements give me a shout so we can meet for a quick coffee/beer/wine(depending on the time) in the next few weeks and get this thing going BIG!
Please shout now and lets get into the SPIRIT!

Im in:)
All the suggestions sound good to me. I would like to involve the family especially kids.
Possibly we can have a GTG with a Paj sport at a trail / venue somewhere? I seem to remember that De Wildt has a pool / lapa?

I fully agree.... Lets show some "gees" and prove that the Gauteng crowd can be one to be remembered. When collecting my Paj from its Service this afternoon, I asked what the chances of Mitsubishi Midrand joining us with a Paj Sport.... Answer was: Tell us when and we'll be there....
So, I suggest De Wildt with it facilities. Maybe closer to home we can talk to the Ford guys about using their training track here in Midrand???

As long as it is in the first half of 2010 and doesn't clash with our travel plans - we'll give it a try

...most likely the last opportunity for us to join a GTG ...

Guys, I agree, lets "Gooi!". What about the Hennops Trail - nice venue where the family can baste in the sun (just gotta order nice weather) while we play in the bush! Else if we want to make it a "weekender" we can go to Moegatle (out Brits way) - I haven't been there, but a couple of mates went in November and the feedback was Gr8!
Christo, I can assist - gimme a shout.
CHeers,
Bossie!

Sounds great, just one comment on venue, I have done Moegatle twice before and have sustained some tupperware damage. Since my Pajero just came back from the panel-beaters with a new rear bumper and all scratches removed etc I will stay away from places like Moegatle.
How does the Ford facility in Midrand look, I would like to explore something new

Sorry guys, haven't spoken to them yet. Will see if they are open on the weekend. Its a range of obstacles and a nice braai area.
I suggested the Ford track or Dewildt, as both have nice facilities esp for the kids. Hennops one needs to do most of the trail to get to the braai area (or cheat and take the service road....)

Ford venue is soft, its for first time Ford owners after all, but is a good day out with some side slopes, ups and downs and a bit of a mud pool if you want to play, would be interesting after the last few days rain. Good to get to know your vehicle without doing damage. It is also very central for Gauteng guys. I will follow up and get back on that. We have also been invited to go visit Protea 4x4, Jannie Rykhaart's place, close to Krugersdorp so that is also an option. De Wildt is of course the Mitsu official training spot so will also work and has also been offered to us.
