I would like to remove the roof carrier rails from my '07 Pajero LWB to clean the rust from the gutters. I would prefer to remove them from the outside rather than having to take out the inner roof lining. Apparently the small plastic covers can be removed from the mounting posts to access the bolts but I have been reluctant to do so for fear of damaging them. Has anybody been successful in unbolting these rails?

I have got a e workshop manual for my 2001 Pajero LWB 3500GLS.
I can send you the page of the removal of my roof rails maybe it can help you. According to this manual you must remove part of you interior. Send me a private email so I can send you the pdf.
