SPARES / FILTER PRICES

Thought I share this and see if you had similar experiences:
Last week I needed to buy a new diesel and oil filter for my 2.8. I went to Autozone because last time the stealers wanted way to much. (I buy only geniune parts as far as possible). I also added a bottle of windscreen washer fluid.
getting to the paypoint I was told I owed them R460. I was shocked - last time I paid R150 per filter, not knowing what the washer fluid costs thought that they charged over R100. I asked the price of the filters - more than R200 each!
So I decided to go to the stealers again. Long story short they struggled with stock but in the end confirmed they had - R318. FOR BOTH!.
Once again I was surprised by how things work and it confirms that most of the time you can get the original/correct part for a affordable price.
ANY SIMILAR STORIES?
(What was funny was that on the filter it is printed in Afrikaans - and made in South Africa... any ideas?)
