Would you, should I? Gen 3 advice wanted

So, i have been hunting for a replacement for my SWB Gen2 beastie.

I can get a JDM 3.5 GDI gen3 LWB without an engine for +- R30.000 So should i jump the gun?

My main 3 ideas are:

1. To put a 6g72 in there because of reliability, can this swap be made?

2. Put a 6g74 but how do i maintain its reliability if all i have is 93 RON jungle juice? Could i put an external high pressure pump? would that work?

3.Put a V8 in there

Would love it.

Is the non GDI 3.5L V6 a option to put in these beasts?
How much should i budget for any of these options?
