Gizeh pyramids - a weekend in Cairo

As I have to be in Cairo this week for business meetings, we decided to visit friends in town and went yesterday to the old parymids of Gizeh as well as to the Sphinx...
We meet a couple from Bedfordview at the pyramids who came up there with their own 4x4. They left RSA in October last year...

Yes - they live 2 roads up the hill in Bedfordview, we are almost neighbours...

With pleasure - but it was a business trip w/ 2 days vacation upfront as we visited friends in Cairo...so no drive report - just "look and see" for the Gizeh pyramids and the islamic bazar in the old town in Cairo...

Just a few more pictures from Cairo - when you have the chance - see the town, but 3 days is really enough. Traffic is crazy and if you hate the JHB Mini taxis - you will love their discipline after 3 days in traffic in Cairo...
Overalll - it was a nice experience but we were happy coming back last Friday....
