Hi all,
I just had to share the news of my new baby with someone ... and who better than a bunch of Pajero fans?
I got a nice clean 2009 3.2 Di-Dc GLS with 160 000km on the clock, accident free, full franchise service history for R 227 500. That's just about trade value, so a fair buy. What make this deal special is the extras ...

Taking delivery on Thursday and a little jittery. Second time I buy a car unseen and the previous one (VW Touran) cost me a turbo, radiator and clutch in quick succession ....
But Mitsu Upington knows the owner and the car .. confirmed no work other than regular as clockwork servicing done on the car and the owner is a "reg of weg" type guy who does not tolerate a rattle or squeak after a service. And an old primary school buddy of mine (Patrol owner, but won't hold that against him
)gave it a visual once over. So all should be OK.

Ahh. I saw that car and was also tempted by it but sat on my hands till the feeling went away. I think it is an excelent deal! Jealous!

Thanks for sitting on your hands CATS ... gave me excellent balance of power in the price negotiation! Watch out for me in Wierde Road in the mornings just before 7am
Mieage is a little higher than I would have liked, but its seen only very light off road use ... Kgalagadi, that sort of thing. Was kitted for a Richtersveld trip that never happened. Apart from that mainly long distance travel from Upington to Cape Town and Pretoria.

I think you just pip me on Wierda road. I am usually on there just after 7 in the mornings, but I will keep a lookout. So how did you get the car up here in Gauteng? Fly down to Upington?

Definitely saw your car in Wierda Road a couple of time ... maybe I was running late.
Arrie bought a Cruiser in Rustenburg. So he drove up and I hitched a lift with our Rustenburg rep. Closed the deal just before lunchtime and had really lekker trip back. The car has not had a vallet so a little dusty but otherwise nice and clean. Pretty chuffed with the buy ... Ingwe Cabin in 2 weeks time will be first off road experience.
