Gen 2 Suspension

Morning everyone.
This is my first post ever on any forum so hopefully I'm following the right path here.
I recently purchased a 1997 Pajero 3.5 V6 lwb with 277000kms on. The engine and gearbox is very smooth but the 4x4 systems seems a bit sticky. I'll have it checked out to and hopefully it just needs a service.
My actual question is about the suspension which needs replacing. I'd love to install the big names such as OME, Iron man etc but am concidering the Gabriel Safari HDP as I've heard good things. I'm also wondering if an FJ Cruiser or Cruiser bakkies shocks would fit as I saw some for sale for R3k with less than 25 000 kms on. That would be my first choice as I'd be saving a lot of money that can be spent on other things. Id only be doing a 4x4 trip once or twice a year.
Anybody know if the FJ and Cruisers shocks would fit. Thanks in advance.

The stock Mitsubishi shocks are very high quality. Yours are probably just worn out at that mileage.
I have tried both OME and Iron Man on Land Cruiser 80 series SW's. Both were very disappointing. Also have had a Gen 2 Paj which came with OME fitted at the rear - stock at the front.
Rode like crap. Guess which ones were causing it? Fitted new stock Mitsu shocks at the rear and it rides like a dream again. All my stock Gen 2's have been best with stock suspension. This would probably not be the case if you were also raising the ride height...Someone else out there may have more experience of this than me.
