Very nice IO you got there, looks like you are handy with the tools and workshop ;) I have not seen any IO Pajero modified like yours here in SA.Maybe some body else did.Has your engine got enough power for those big wheels ?How long does your front C-V joints last with the big angle it runs at ?It makes one look at the IO with new eyes ,I didn`t think one could get a IO to look that good.WELL DONE Themis :!:

Themis

Great project. Here in SA the IO was only available for a short period and only with 1.6 and 1.8 liter petrol engines as far as I know. This makes getting any accessories and add-ons a challenge to get and not a lot of people has taken on the same kind of modifications as yours. In fact I doubt there are any IO out here with the same modifications, this might change after your project has been on here for inspiration :P

It is really a pity that Mitsu SA did not support this vehicle more and does not still have it available for sale, as I have driven one and they are magic vehicles which kicks dust in all the comparative competition.

What engine does yours have?

Wow... talk about dynamite in small packages...

Themis, can I ask you to post your iO project pictures, if you have any, in the DIY section? We have so few people that have iO's let alone mod them, but it would be great to see these "in the making" so to speak.

This vehicle is such a great little rival to the Suzuki Jimny that it's a pity there aren't more of them around.

Hi themis

I've been looking at possibly getting one of these little Pajero's and I have 2 questions for you.

-What make and type of suspension did you fit to get 100mm of lift?
-How did you do a bodylift? As far as I know the Pajero Pinin has a monocoque construction, on other words, the body and chassis is all in one and a bodylift would be impossible.

Thank You

Re: Pajero from greece
Thanks for your comments guys!
My rig's engine's a 2.0 GDI with 130 hp. However these wheels have killed it since starting in 2H or 4H is not the same, more sluggish I'd say. Nevertheless I've modified my transfer by fitting custom lower gears. So, in 4L all's well!
I have no problems with the CVs so far. Main reason's that the front suspension crossmembers are lowered by 2'' in order to fit these tires, it's a kind of body lift I guess. I've also equipped it with King springs, Koni front shocks and 4'' longer rear OME shocks from a Jeep I think.
I'll try to post some photos as soon as I can.
Cheers!
