Goeie dag almal.
Enige raad/opininie welkom.

Hi Endrew,
All Pajeros since 2004 come standard with auto box and most Gen3's before that we're auto in any case. So I don't think you will have much of a choice. We enjoy and trust our auto boxes, no need for you to worry on that count.
You will find petrol and diesel engines in the market. All diesel engines are the 3.2DiD variety. Early petrol Gen3's had a 3.5V6 and post 2004 the 3.8V6. All those engines are capable and reliable. The petrol engin consumes at least 30% more fuel than the diesel version.
The Gen3's are getting on in years now (last model will be early 2007), I would suggest you look for a well kept and well maintained one and not worry too much about which engine or gearbox model it is.

Endrew,
Die volgende is belangrik:
a. What do you want to do with your Pajero? Travel into darkest Africa and be totally self-sufficient or stay in lodges. This will determine SWB or LWB (packing space).
b. Auto/manual: As Roelf said: not even a question - go for an auto BUT ensure that it is properly serviced.
c. 3,8 or 3,2 engine: What you loose on the swings, you gain on the roundabouts. Diesel higher servicing costs and eventually repair costs vs high fuel costs with the V6.
d. Gen4 vs Gen 3: Buy the newest and lowest km that you can afford.
