4x4 System

Hi
I have a Gen 2 2.8 SWB and would like to know if anyone has replaced the 4x4 detection switches and solenoid with a relay system that is controlled inside. I have a problem on my system as the 4x4 doesn't engage, there are faulty switches and the diode is blown.
