Side shaft seal leaking

Hello. Friday I went and purchased new tyres. They lifted the Paj and all the wheels were hanging to their maximum flex. Long story short, I can now detect a leak on the input shaft which has resulted in the diff being full of oil, but not dripping. Now the car has been in my garage the whole weekend and there is no more oil (I wiped the oil up on Friday).

My question is if this is normal because of the shaft being at such an angle and only leaked temporarily, or is my shaft seal kaput?

PS - it's the right hand seal at the diff of course

This is something I saw as well. Did a 4x4 track with some extreme axle twisters and found the left seal leaking afterwards. I bought a seal and wanted to change it but now 6 weeks and 1500 km later there is no sign of a leak. Checked the dif and it is still full. It seems like it leaks in extreme positions but don't damage the seal.

Thanks, I'm going to keep an eye on it for a while and see what happens.

I have a gen2 SWB and the diff leaked for best part of three years. When the cv boots needed replacing, the diff seal was also done at the same time.

Perhaps just make sure there is still enough oil in the diff.
