The Pajero's competition?

Hi Guys.
When I do a like for like comparison, what should I compare the Pajero with? In my mind, the Pajero sport is comparable to the Toyota Fortuner. Is the Pajero comparable to the Landcruiser or the Prado?

Talking about comparisons did anyone else see the shoot out on Ignition between the Pajero and the Landcruiser Prado ??????
And who came out tops? Yup ...... the only criticism comparing the two was fuel consumption on the Pajero.
Maybe thats why Nissan took them over

I'll bet if that was a SA shoot-out, the outcome would have been different!

Pajero sport -> fortuner
Pajero -> prado
Triton -> hilux
ASX -> Rav4

that Prado must have been the D4D version

Yes it was the D4D and I am sure that Pajero had diff lock !

Are you talking about the article where he exclaims "what have they done to the Pajero" - he was trying to get up a sand dune (and appeared could not) with the Gen4.1 (NS Pajero with TC and no diff lock) - obviously making a comparison between the then new Gen4.1 without diff lock and the old Gen3 with diff lock - or is there now a newer version?
