Pajero Gen 3 Remote

Hi to all.

I bought a 2004 Gen 3 Pajero without remotes. Apparently they are missing in action. Any idea where I can get them besides the agents? They charge me R2400-00 for the remote plus R700-00 for the programming. I think it is a bit high.
Any other ideas?

Thanks

Andre

Have a look on ebay. But be careful sometimes it is just the empty pod that they are selling. You can then take it to a dealer and have him code it.

I only got one with mine, chased up all my insurance contacts and got the same answer. Codes cannot be cracked. Dealer only.

If you find please let me know.

Thanks

Hi All,

I got spare remote at Pajero spares in Kameeldrift Pretoria. It is a guy who specializes in Pajero parts (Second hand only). Paid R600.00 and programmed myself using a post on this site of how to program remote.

Not to expensive.

Andre

Hi Andre,

See below.....

1. Locate the Data Port under drivers side dashboard usually located to the right of steering column.

2. Insert keys in ignition and leave in the OFF position.

3. Make sure there are metal contact pins in terminals 1 and 4 and connect the Data Port terminals 1 and 4 with a
suitable jumper wire, leave the jumper wire connected throughout the programming procedure. Make sure you
know which terminals are 1 and 4.

4. Within 10 seconds after connecting the jumper wire, press the Hazard Switch 6 times. Note: The doors will
automatically lock and unlock once at this time indicating that the system is in the programming mode.(I found it only works if door switch is depressed all the way, as if the door is closed:

5. Press the LOCK button on the remote to be registered three times within 10 seconds. Upon successful
programming, the door will lock and unlock once.

6. Repeat step 5 with up to 4 remotes (including any existing remotes) within one minute. After completing each
programming, the doors will lock and unlock once.

7. Disconnect the programming wire and remove the keys from the ignition.
