Doesn't look like I can post in the Vehicle Accessories, so I am posting here.

I just wanted to post a little review of the roof rack I had made for my SWB mk2.

I used Stanium in Cape Town. See http://www.stanium.co.za/ for their website. They are very helpful and gave me regular updates during the building of the roof rack, from the early planning phase to the final powder coat. Mine did not attach to the rails so it had custom dimensions.

All in all I'm very happy with the product so I would absolutely recommend them for any kind of roof rack or canopy type of work.

So big thumbs up!! Pics attached. 8-) 8-)

Looks very nice, but tell us more about the way it was fitted: Did the roof need to be drilled, etc? If not, how is the rack fastened to the roof?
Regards
Peter

Hi Peter - I already had some mounting pads on the Pajero. These are not the standard ones, as I know some Pajeros owners have front runner racks that use the normal "rails". So this rack was custom made for my dimensions.

The pads seem fairly simple (they were already fitted when I bought the car some years back), and I believe they are drilled into the roof along with some silicon around the pads. See photo of how the roof looked with the "original" bars before I fitted the new rack.
