Hi,
I too have a 3L V6 12 Valve with the 6G72 motor, but just the LWB. I'm getting approximately 6.2 - 6.5 km per liter. :P

Cheers

I have a 1995 3.0 L V6 6g72 SWB but with single coil & distributor. I can also have the CO and HC adjusted. I have an Italian mechy who has a Daihatsu workshop. He has a fancy Lamba sensor unit and the one time he set it I got 8.6km/l on the long road at average 100km/hr and 7.9 km/l in town. Now I have replaced my MAF with a 2nd hand one from a Colt Rodeo. Had CO rest by another mechy who has the very old pump type sensor and I'm getting 7.5 km/l long road but I was hammering between 120-140 km/hr. In town on I'm getting +/- 7 km/l. This is also with a one stage colder spark plug.
I put in a colder plug as I was going on a long trip and it was rather hot 30oC for most of the time. I'll change to the normal specified spark plug as we will be entering winter temperatures soon.

I have a 3L V6 (12V) in a SWB Pajero 1997, and I can report that I get approx 6.45km/liter in town and then about 7.5km/liter on longer trips doing speeds like 80-120km/h. Slightly thirsty.

With my 1994 LWB 3l 12V 6G72, my consumption is between 7.5 - 8.5 km/litre - whether I am on the open road or town, towing a trailer or not. Looks to be about normal for this vehicle.

Thankyou all very much for your info very interesting. So I guess an avg of 7.5 is about right for a 91 swb with only 3 gears as my overdrive is not working
