Apple CarPlay
Hi, does anybody know if Apple CarPlay can be used on the new Pajero Exceed? It says so on international websites but I wonder about the SA version. Thanks. Derek

Re: Apple CarPlay
My advice would be to actually test it on a new Pajero on the showroom floor.

As an aside, if it is, then I suppose Android Auto will also be available on the New Pajero.

Re: Apple CarPlay
Can’t get it to work on my 2015 model (sadly).

I understand the easiest way to identify if yours has the facility is if there’s two USB jacks in the cubby hole. Mine has one.

I’d love to find out I’m wrong.....

Re: Apple CarPlay
My experience is that I mostly use the Bluetooth connectivity for hands free calling. My music is on a seperate stick, permanently plugged into a USB port. I have Apply Music on my phone, with many of my favourite albums loaded, which I also use via Bluetooth. So the stick is default and Apple Music is more dedicated, but requires me to actually push some bottons on my phone.

CarPlay offers Google Maps from your phone, as well as WhatsApp messaging (amongst other features), but it has to be plugged in. So again, on a day to day "commuting" scenario, it is just one little step too many. I do however really enjoy planning trips on Google Earth and creating way points (targets) in the bush or city and then sending those to my phone and then it is available on my big dash-map. I have on occasion called the lady in my office to find a place or a spot in the bush and send it immediately to my phone. That is real "CSI" stuff and oh so handy.

I hope the new Pajero has that ability, it is the way to go. CarPlay and/or Android Auto actually has nothing to do with the car's development, but comes totally from Apple or Android.
