4m41 injection pump question

Hey guys just need some help clarifying the inlet and return nipples on the injection pump.
I have the schematics for the pump itself and it shows as circle A as the Return hose and B as the Suction.
Asking as nipple from fuel filter outlet is 12mm compared to the 10mm nipple circled A.
The return nipple from the injection pipe is 12mm which is going to the fuel tank nipple 10mm?
Can anyone shed some light on this?
