So Pumbaa is being put to pasture after 22 years...

My 2015 Sport should be arriving later in this week from Pretoria.

So I'm researching accessories.

I have already ordered a Frontrunner roofrack, and will be talking to Uys about sliders and bash plates.

Pity its fitted with Hankaks with loads of mileage still on them, but will replace those in time (anyone interested?).

My main questions are:

1) In light of wanting to keep it as a 7-seater, what do people do about a battery system and fridge slide in the rear? Something that is easily removable.
2) Where to mount the VHF radio?
3) Where does one run cables from the engine bay to the back to drive the trailer charging system?

Congratulations Simon, I wish you many kilometers of pleasure.

You can look at the Flexopower 444 as an alternative to a dual battery system but I don’t know much about them.

Congrats Simon

I hope you enjoy it! I must say the Sport impressed me with it's low down grunt ftom the 2.5 diesel engine.

Have you thought of a name yet? Or first waiting to meet "in person"?

Hi Simon,
Congrats.
Hope you enjoy and experience many safe journeys.
You are going to miss the V6, but with the current fuel price you'll be smiling all the way.

It's in Cape Town, but the truck is running around delivering to dealerships. Likely only tomorrow morning
