Pajero Owners Club of South Africa

Firstly a HUMANGUS thanx to Jaco for inviting us. Our whole family had a blast!!

I only got my Pajero back from the mechanic at 15:20 on Friday afternoon, after we we're wanting to leave by 14:00. So needless to say we had to pitch in the dark.

We had a faint mist across the veld below and the most beautiful Freestate sunrise I've seen in a while. Despite the cold from the evening, this was what we came for!!!

Jaco took us around the track a little and I sommer saw this was gonna be great fun. There was twisters, easy stuff, difficult stuff, technical stuff and some steep climbs that tested your goonies and reading of lines. boy oh boy oh boy.

So the Merc Galanda's showed up, a whole bunch of Hilux's, two Pajero SWB's, a jeep, cruiser bakkie, dico 3 V8(that had the best growl ever) and a Prado.

So off we went into nature climbing, descending, playing here and there.
The Pajero's surprised the heel out of everybody again, I have to say it helps that I am starting to understand my "swart skaap" a little. She is a wonderful beast and can almost anything. I say this because there is one obstacle that I could not climb, but then again I was the only one who tried....

All in all I think we need to have a chat with oom Neels to have a Pajero weekend there, It's safe for the kids and great fun for the Boys.....

that's why we are looking at moving to a farm in Soekmerkaar Limpopo. I actually hate the city, grew up on a vacation resort in the freestate had a lovely backyard and a river and and and.

Dis heerlik om te dink ons kan weereens so n wonderlike naweek begin beplan. Skryf maar die naweek van die 23ste Julie op en beplan jou dingetjies daar rondom.

Die program verlede jaar was n wenner en ons gaan definitief nie veel daaraan verander nie. Pa Fritz het weereens sy plaas aan ons beskikbaar gestel en julle sal moet bespreek om seker te maak julle kry plek. Stuur asb verblyf behoeftes aan Kevin (kevin@uri.co.za).

Vrydag 23 Julie:
Sal aanbeveel dat julle probeer om vroeg as moontlik op die plaas aan te kom, ons kuier gewoonlik al vanaf vroeg oggend saam so die van julle wat vroeg dag daar wil wees is welkom. Ons gaan weer heerlik saam kuier met ‘n bring en braai opset en vra dat julle die Khumula BAR ook bietjie ondersteun. Ons wil ook graag 2 formaliteite byvoeg tot Vrydag aand en die is;
- Aren Bakker kinder fonds, Dit is om julle bydrae te kommunikeer en stand van die finansies om die kinders te help met studies. Emil is in beheer van die fonds en sal julle hartsnare aanraak om te help dat sy wens bewaarheid word om die meisie kinders te help voorentoe.
- 5 Jaar herdenking, ons wil graag al die fotos van verskillende jare aan julle wys en bietjie lag oor sekere geleenthede, so as julle foto’s het, stuur dit asb aan Marcelle (marcelle.bakker@gmail.com). Wil ook so bietjie nostalgies raak oor hoekom ons die naweek elke jaar pligsgetrou bywoon.

Saterdag 24 Julie:
Wikkel vroeg oggend en ry 6h30 vanaf die plaas, sal soos oudergewoonte Dresden omry en die dag by die rivier geniet. Ys, Bier, Vleisie die werke moet ons saam karwei ,om weer lekker by die rivier te braai en kuier voordat ons terugkeer plaas toe om die aand lekker stories om die vuur te kan vertel .Ons hoop die kitaar kerel sal ons weer kan vermaak.

Sondag 25 Julie:
Die ontbyt laas jaar was n wenner, so dui ook asb aan wie van julle ontbyt wit eet as jy boek vir die naweek.

Ons wil graag teen 25 Junie die getalle finaliseer en reelings tref op die plaas, dus stuur asb die volgende detail aan Kevin (kevin@uri.co.za)
