Hello Guys,

I currently have 215/65/16 on my Pajero IO and needs some off road tires for her. One of my mates said I can have his old BF's Mud terrain 265/75/16 tires. Taking the size that is bigger what other problems will I have. Take note that this will only be fitted for off road not on road use at all.

I think the size is going to be a show stopper: 215/65R16 is nominally a tyre with an outside diameter of 27" (685.9mm), whereas 265/75R16 has a nominal OD of 31.65" (803.9mm). The tyre radius is about 59mm more. They are unlikely to fit the iO physically and if they do, you will have to contend with gearing that has suddenly become more than 17% taller, thus reducing tractive effort and hence acceleration by the same amount.
