Hi guys. We’re travelling along the Western Cape south coast and my Gen 3 Swb 3,2 Diesel has started doing an odd thing on start up in the mornings.
It starts easily but then after a few seconds starts to idle very roughly, almost stalling. Lots of grey smoke out the back. It then recovers and idles normally before doing it a few more times (2 or 3). After that, everything is back to normal.
If I put it into drive it may cause some “miss firing" again but otherwise the car drives as per usual.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this?
