Eventually it didn't want to move back at all so I had to look into it. I knew it would just be a bad burned or corroded contact.
I was at my sister's place so didn't have time to take pics or so.
BEWARE : the parts inside that electronic control thing is tiny and takes some mindset to get back together if you didn't check how it goes together. When you pull it apart, do it where there is a big white tiled space so you can see what drops out as there are 3 spring loaded metal balls the size of BB bullets that help the movements, and 4 controller switches with 2 balls each.
Take very careful notes on how it comes apart with relation to spring positions, ball positions etc. I had to assemble and disassemble 4 times before I got it 100% right. (Each assembly takes about 5 tries to get the spring and balls in

If you have no patience and no dexterity with small parts (fat fingers are a big no no for this job) don't attempt it IMHO.

Mine was just a slightly burned contact that I cleaned with a tweezer's end point. Works like a charm now!
It is sealed to such an extent that a dip in electrical cleaner will NOT clean it. Disassembly is required
I'll probably be able to do it in under 30 minutes next time.
