Ok
So two confirmed non attendees. I have updated my list in the earlier post.
Can we maybe get some more of the interested parties commited/ or least indicating confirmed non attendance?
Stranger. Come on - you know you want to commit

Re: Tie in the dots Spring 2013
You do realise
1: I am first and foremost a hairy arsed biker, are you sure you want me along.
2: I am over 50 and therefore qualify to be a grumpy old fart who can speak to children in a bad way and get way with it, are you sure you want me along.
3: I have an RTT, burp and fart a lot, are you sure you want me along
4: I have no 4x4 driving experience, will ask lot's of questions including, why, why, why and are we there yet, are you sure you want me along
5: My idea of "keeping Swambo happy" is lending her my R1200R BMW with the full luggage system so she can carry her own shoes on a road trip, are you sure you want me along.
Do we want to come, yeah we do, however after buying the Paj, fixing stuff, servicing and 2 new muds, budget is tight. The only barrier right now is making sure we have the camping thing right, which we will find out at De Wildt this coming weekend. If that all works out, we are in.

2. I am under 50(fast approaching though) and have small kids that run around noisily and sometimes say rude things to old people over 50 - So that cancels it out evenly I think.
3. Luckily with a rooftop tent you can choose to park far away from other people with noisy kids (see point two) who burp and fart alot and then blame it on their kids. - So sounds like you are safe here
4. I have many years of 4x4 driving experience and still classify myself as a student as I learn new things everyday. I also ask a lot and sometimes talk too much as well, especially about 4x4 Pajero's and the intricacies of driving them - So we can maybe help each other.
5. My swambo needs a full bush caravan and I never know how I will fit everything she wants me to pack, but she has saved my bacon freezing off a few times with all her extra packing so I just grumble and squeeze the stuff in. So your Swambo sounds very tame compared to mine.
Sounds like you are in!

1. I dont drive a bike, but we have some other issues in common here it seems - So no problem thus farStranger wrote:You do realise

Re: Tie in the dots Spring 2013
I can see you guys are trying really hard, much respect for that. However, I still need some convincing and perhaps after answering some questions I will be convinced.
What is a "GPS" and what is it for?
There is a button in my Paj marked R D LOCK. I have pushed this button several times but the rear door does nothing, does not open or lock or anything, What am I doing wrong.
If I put the hella plug in my battery pack in the Paj for a small light to go on in the RTT, how do I switch it off?
Again, we really would like to do this trip, 90% in but I am not the type to say yayayayayaya and then pull out. If we say yes, then we will be there.
PS, what is a Barberton, is this like a really busy hair salon ?

R D Lock
Rear Diff Lock -
I haven't been inside a GEN2.5 for more than a decade, but I'm pretty sure you should be stationary, in low range (4LLc) for the rear diff to lock.

RD lock has been explained by Roelf but get your hairy bum off that chair and read the manual![Cool 8-)](./images/smilies/icon_cool.gif)
You switch the light off in the RTT with the on/off switch off course silly![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
90 % is more than half full so you should be able to reach base, even with that gas gussler of yours
ps I drive a diesel so get used to this abuse ![Very Happy ](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

PS Barberton is a place to tame new Pajero owners gently into submission, even ones that drove bikes before
. Now save up some dosh and commit ![Smile :-)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

A GPS is a device that tells you that you are lost and supposedly is short for Global Positioning Satelite although it is is no Satelite at all but only a satelite reciever!Stranger wrote:I can see you guys are trying really hard, much respect for that.
