Hi Guys
I am new to this and my english is not that good. I have a 2005 SWB Pajero 3.2 DID.
I need to know if anybody have for me a paln for a retrofit radio antenna.
It had a electrical antenna and it broke of , a new one is almost R500.
And if it brake off agen it is gone cost me another X amount. I went to so Car radio installers and they could not help me
As the antenna sits on the curve of the fender. Can anybody please help me whit a answer ?
And yes I don't want to put a normal antenna on because it could make the Pajero look bad.

Hi Frikkie,
This seems to happen fairly often (!!), see the recent discussion at:
https://www.pajeroclub.co.za/forum/view ... f=26&t=702
The dealers also advised me that fitting an aftermarket antenna would be difficult due to the location of the current unit. I guess they wanted me to buy their unit ..... so not sure how much truth is in this statement.
I then visited a car audio place and they advised that I switch to an internal antennae (mounted against the windscreen, just behind the rear view mirror) and then put a cover plate onto the existing antennae outlet. Cost was +/- R250. Didn't really like that option so eventually bit the bullet and forked out the R460 for the replacement mast.
Would also like to know if other options exist, as I am sure this is not going to be the last time I'll loose the antennae!

Pajero Radio antenna
hello everyone
(getting comfortable with this forum layout now (my apologies for my 1st posting: garbled and sceptical).)
I gave up repairing/replacing the electric aerial: my alternative was extreme but served many purposes.
fitted an 'active' aerial on the roof, front of the roof rack.
much better satellite reception for gps (9 satellites on a good day), and also serves the radio tuner & cell phone.
Obtained mine from .webb.co.za simply 'cos I'm in Jhb.

Hi julle
Ek praat nou maar afrikaans ! ' Makliker".
