I'm looking at replacing my Gen LWB front and rear speakers. Does anyone know what size the fronts are? What could be recommended as replacements, to run with a JVC CD/MP3 Head Unit
The titchy rears will be replaced by (most likely) 6x9's which will then be attached to my packing system

Re: Gen 2 - Aftermarket Audio speakers
I removed the little 5watt speakers from the front and wnet to the local radio shop. Bough the closet no-name brand ones I could get and hacked off the one eyelet as the original only has three and not four as in a normal speaker. I still have the old ones if you need a template. Paid under R200 for a pair of 120W speakers and they work well.
Replaced the rear units with 6X9's but the sound is still bad. Currently running a Pioneer 50W/channel head. Using the same unit in Swambos platkar with origianl speakers as fitted by Honda and the sound is amazing.

Re: Gen 2 - Aftermarket Audio speakers
I went to the local audio shop and asked them to "fix" my sound. The disconnected all the installed speakers and fitted a set of Kenwood 6X9 in the bottom of the rear doors and two other Kenwoods in the front doors. Much better setup.

Re: Gen 2 - Aftermarket Audio speakers
I am also looking at changing my speakers, currently all standard.
What was the size of the front speakers you bought?
I am a Kenwood fan myself, so maybe they would be the ones.
Currently my Pajero is in for some work, so I can't get in there to take the others out. Will do as soon as the car is back.

What size were the fronts? Can you perhaps measure the old ones or somehow get a to scale scan of the template.
I now have the 6x9's which I will install in their own enclosures and fix to the packing system (still waiting for the ipod interface
