My car's fuel range meter is completely bonkers! I get my first "50km" warning wen the tank is half full, and typically a little above 1/4 full it gives me zero. Then when I restart it (sometimes) resets to around 60km and the process repeats itself. Around the third time this happens the fuel waring light also comes on, and I know it really is time to find a pump. I've read in the owners manual you can set "short" and "long" vehicle types, but following the steps in the manual doesn't give me the option to adjust this. In any event, doubt if it will change anything, as the fuel gauge works perfectly and is remarkably accurate for a Mitsu.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix it? As I said not to important but I'm just gatvol of a car telling me to refuel when I know it isn't true ... just like that girrrrl on the GPS who ALWAYS knows better ... except she generally does
