2002 Gen3 LWB Di-D Auto
Just clicked 250000km last Friday
Original motor
Injectors replaced 233750km as a precaution (Alan Black)
Replaced companion shafts way back and oil pressure sender about 1 year ago.
Fitted 3 core radiator because header tank failed when sent for cleaning
New water pump and thermostat fitted as preventative maintenance (looking for overheating cause)
Stripped and cleaned up inlet manifold system 2nd half 2013
Put new oil in fan viscous clutch (finally cured overheating - yay)
Fitted new front and rear disc rotors and pads + new seal kits for all brake slave cylinders early 2014
To do list:
I want to remove intercooler for straightening and internal + external clean
Buff the headlight "glass"
Bit worried about rear diff (bearings(?)) / drive shaft
One day I will get round to extending breathers
And maybe an aftermarket rear bumper, rock sliders
And how about some underbelly protection
Oh, and an EGT etc monitor
And maybe an awning
And a solar charge system ... sigh
Maybe a Unimog is a better platform to start from!

Update:
What model / year is your Pajero? 2005 3.2DID LWB Auto
How much mileage had your Pajero done? 325,500km
Is it the original motor? Yes
Any major work? New brake discs, reconned the starter. Gearbox also still untouched.

Any major work? No, but the turbo has pack up, new universals on the drive shaft and new tie rod ends.
Had to replace the Battery and at the same time I had a noise from the Right front brake that turned out to be the inner brake pad that failed, the Ferodo broke loose from the plate and caused the plate to dislodge from the caliper and destroyed the inner surface of the disk (there were still about 6mm of pad left, two new brake disks and a set of brake pads and it brakes like new. The steering rings ribbon cable broke inside that gives power to the Hooter and Cruse control ( no stock at the local agent have to order @ R6500) so I stripped the unit and did some nifty mods (I replaced the insides with two fiber disks that I machined inserted some brass rings 3 per disk and made the one spring loaded, I soldered the wires into each brass ring and assembled the whole unit )now it works better and smoother. Being a toolmaker has got some perks.
