Please Help!!
Last night I hooked up a trailer to the Pajero and coupled the lights, all was fine then the indicators stoped working and a whole bunch of lights on the dash came on and gave me the skrik of my life!! I pulled over to check the fuses but to no avail, the oil pressure, A/T Temp, and some others came on but there was no efect on the power or anything so I continued home just fine and with out indicators.
What could have gone and how do I fix it????
Thanx

Was everything back to normal without the trailer hooked up?

Re: Christmas Light Dash
Yip, it's a fuse.
I also experienced the same symptoms with a trailer, but with dash lights also going dead with the brake lights. There are two fuse boxes, one under the dash and the other in the engine bay. On my 2006 DiD LWB GLS, I was very surprised to find NO fuses in the fuse box under the dash - just wires running through it. All the fuses were in the box under the bonnet. The owner manual as well as the fuse box lid should tell you where to look for the indicator fuse. There should be a few spares in the box as well.
I have convinced myself that the external lights share fuses with the dashboard lights, as a warning to the driver that something is wrong![Twisted Evil ](./images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif)

Re: Christmas Light Dash
Thanx Roelf but the lights on my dash came on and have stayed on even after the trailer was removed and the indicators arent working, just to mention that the car must be swiched on for the lights to burn. These are the lights that come on.

Re: Christmas Light Dash
I would be worried that your oil light and water trap lights are on as well.
I'm wondering if there is some way to reset the ECU, or something has fried somewhere.

Re: Christmas Light Dash
Try disconnecting the battery (or pull the fuseable link) for 30mins.
Hopefully it resets everything.

Re: Christmas Light Dash
Are you 100% sure there are no fuses blown?
I have read of this phenomenon on other Pajero forums and everytime it was traced back to a blown fuse, usualy the indicator one. It seems as if there are a number of things linked to this fuse and if it blows it confuse the ECU somewhat. Definately check ALL fuses in cabin as well as under bonnet and replace the indicator one in any case.
Getting the battery off for a while can also help resetting once the fuses are checked and replaced but make sure you have the radio code before doing this.
