They really do make a whiter light and I am very happy with the better light, without having to change more than just the globe.
They have the same wattage etc as the standard globe so should also not develop more heat (High heat has been mentioned in the past to make the carbon headlamp covers develop hairline cracks with some higher wattage/illegal globe upgrades on GEN 3 Pajero's)
They have a small picture on the side of the box indicating that they have a shorter lifespan than standard globes. This is definately the case, as mine did not last as long as expected.
In the end still a worthy light upgrade with minimal cost, just remember to keep the old globes as backup.
As luck would have it the one globe that recently went on my vehicle was on the side where the Safari snorkel goes behind the headlamp. This then leads to a removal of the grill and whole headlamp to get to the globe and the whole process in reverse for the refit. Not something I want to do too often!
