Gents
I think it is time to contemplate this event again.
I suggest we stick to the traditional date, which is the last weekend of Sept.
The Thursday leading up to that weekend is a public holiday and there is a possibility that we could use the time to affect dash modifications. John and Kurt must take the lead here if they consider it at all possible.
The standard procedure is basically for everybody to make their own way to Barberton and to arrange their own accommodation. We all meet up on the Sat morning with stocked coolers and picknic baskets and I lead the Pajero train over the mountain for the whole day. We try to keep things as relaxed as possible with plenty photo opportunities. We visit some remote historical sites from the gold rush days and I will happily take any geology questions for those that be interested, but I try not to force it on anybody.
I normally arrange a venue for a bring and braai in the evening and the next day everybody heads home again.
Nothing is cast in stone at this stage, so I am totally open to any suggestions.
Please ask any questions you need.
Please indicate if you wish to join us.
I ask no money, except if there is a small sum required to fund pap and salads for the evening braai.
We ran a little "poll" a few months ago to see if there are any sleep-on-the-mountain candidates. Please indicate as soon as possible if you would care to do so. If we get enough of those, then we could build that into the TITD agenda.

Where does the name TITD come from? I'm keen to attend but there is also another 4x4 family weekend planned in the eastern Free state that I have committed to.... Decisions decisions???

It started with me putting a few "dots" on a Google earth image and asking the forum if they would like to "tie in the dots" with their Pajeros.
