Mabua, who would like to go

I have been asked if I seriously would consider planning a trip to Mabua. My answer is YES, I would, but obviously a trip like this would need some numbers to make it worthwhile.

First questions, are you interested

Should it just be Mitsu's

The plan would be to get out of Gauteng early morning and utilise 2 routes.

The North route would go via Martins drift and Jwaneng to meet up at the cut line at Kokotsha.

The South route would be via Vryburg, bray border post and meet at the cut line at Kokotsha.

This can be done in one day and would put us in the reserve camps or possibly Monamodi camps in Mabua.

We could then have two further nights in Mabua, campsite dependant. My thoughts are leave Friday come back Monday. 2 days leave for a long weekend. Long drive but worth it.

Fuel will cost more than the camping, I will get 2016 prices if interest is shown.

Regards

Me - I would love to go but I have 3 rugrats and traveling that far for a weekend fro Gauteng is a bit challenging. So I would probably sit out on that but I concur. Mabua is MAGIC, and it deserves more time than just a week-end.

Stranger,

Yes, Daleen and I would like to join. We have been thinking about a return trip to Mabua but would like to combine it with a trip into Namibia. Thus: enter at the Bots gate and go west via Motsemane to Nossob. Then - for us - to Mata-Mata and into Nam. We are not bonded by dates and can go anytime next year.

Stanger,

I have to confess that I do not see my way open to travel that far (literally across the country) for two nights. My time is much more precious than Cloyd's (he is jobless after all) so I can also not attach it onto an extended trip for the foreseeable future.

Going to Mabua - yes.
For 2 days probably no - but might be able to plan into a 10 day trip.

If we were to go to Mabua we would probably plan
PTA - Mabua - sleep 2 nights
Mabua -> Motopi 1 night
Matopi - Nosob 4 nights
Nossob -> Rooiputs 2 night
Rooiputs -> PTA - rest of my life ?

OK, so in general it is considered too far for a short trip.

The September trip is usually 5 nights. I will post if I manage to get bookings for next year if any one is interested then.

I'm keen for a 10+ days trip. Perhaps a two phase trip so that the employed can bail after a few days? Probably 5
