Re: Namibia Holiday
That photo was definately not taken in December!! In December that stretch of beach looks more like a car park in Gauteng than a beach and quads and 4x4's race up and down at great speed with most drivers having a beer in one hand!!! Or has things changed since I last visited?

Re: Namibia Holiday
You are right this was late January when there is still a few holiday people. It normally takes 2-3 months to get the dunes and beaches back on track.

Re: Namibia Holiday
The area around Langstrand gets moer busy in Dec. No better place if your young. We prefer to go up north past Henties where things are a bit more relaxed.

Re: Namibia Holiday
We were in Swakop 2 years ago over New Years... it was busy but never a problem. There were regular road blocks between Walvis and Swakop, so a beer it hand would have been trouble! I didn't encounter any reckless driving (on or off road).
Really enjoyed it!
