Super Select lights

@ 4ePikanini

I have read your post on 4x4community regarding getting the lights to work on Super Select and 4H. Nice thread and great work. Most of my lights though is working but all of the wires are broken off at some point before or after the plug connectors. I have some coloured wires (light blue and yellow mostly) coming from the selector above but most of the switch wires is red/black. No idea which connect to which switch(es). It also seems to be more switches than wires from above to connect to. You did not happen to get hold of a wiring diagram for the switches and lights by any chance?

with the bridging wire troubleshooter you should be able to work which one goes where.

I don't have a wiring diagram.

Some people just use a two way switch to activate the front diff on the gen2 as that is the only electrical part.

front diff actuator gets actuated to and fro by two vacuum pipes entering it.

switch position 1 - sends 12v to the one solenoid to send vacuum to the one part of the actuator
switch position 2 - sends 12v to the other solenoid to send vacuum to the other part of the actuator

The rest is a mechanical operation of the short stick

Ahh the hard way, thanx. Got the switches to flash orange on the centre diff and the green lights to go on on two back wheels and left front wheel. I get confused while under the vechicle of what I am connecting where. :ugeek: I'll tackle it one Sat morning.

the whole system is far too complicated IMHO.

I would have just used one switch on the gearbox that can switch both solenoids. And one sensor on the diff that activates the lights.

The flashing and all that jazz is way too much to go wrong IMHO.

I must make a bypass DIY one of these days and sell it. I'm sure I'll get rich. :D
